IMPORTANT NEWS
The swimming pool changing rooms, showers and toilets will be closed from Thursday 5 July 2018 for refurbishment until the end of the summer term.
The pool will still be open and classes will carry on as usual.
The work will be completed before the start of the autumn term.

As a temporary measure LVS intends to install two dry change units in the coach layby opposite the swimming pool.
Access to the pools will be easy but children must wear footwear of some kind for the walk to and from the pool.

This project will represent a significant enhancement on the existing accommodation. The wet rooms will be replaced with individual shower pods which will provide a greater level of user comfort and privacy. The areas will also benefit from new lighting, floor finishes, sanitary ware and a full internal redecoration.

Learn to swim classes
IMG_2098
Our swimming lessons focus on teaching skill development for beginners and improvers through to
competent swimmers. Our average class size is 5 and the maximum is 7. For the very young swimmers
our teacher/pupil ratio is 1 to 2. We teach the children all four strokes as soon as they can swim.
Our priority is to make the children safe in deep water as soon as possible and improve stroke technique
throughout the course. The children are tested each term and ASA certificates and badges are awarded
at the end of each term.

Diving classes

Our pool is 0.9 metres in the shallow end increasing to 2.0metres in the deep end and is one of the
few pools in the area where you can dive safely.
We are able to teach the ASA Diving Skills program which is designed to give pupils an early
introduction to springboard and platform diving. It provides underwater confidence, body awareness and
develop skills for static springing into complex jumps and dives.
