Our Learn To Swim Classes begin again on Sunday 5th January 2025.
This Spring term we are offering two methods of payment for the classes. First choice is to pay up front for the 12 week Spring term. The second choice is to pay for the 24 week combined Spring and Summer term by 7 equal monthly payments from January to July. Click on term fees for more details.
Welcome to our school where our priority is to make sure your children are safe during classes and to get them swimming safely in deep water as soon as possible. Our beginners teachers are specialists in developing young beginners and you will be amazed at the progress your children make even in the first 3 weeks of the term. At the same time we make sure the children have lots of fun throughout the 30 minute classes. We have sinkers and toys for the children to play with and armbands to give them confidence and we do our best to keep the technical stuff as much fun as possible.
We focus on teaching the development of water skills for beginners and improvers through to competent swimmers. We keep our class numbers small with a maximum class size for the beginners of five. To keep the beginners safe we have a teacher and assistant with them in the pool at all times. Our teachers are all Level 2 qualified with either STA, ASA or Swim England qualifications. All our teachers have current DBS certificates together with either NSPCC Course certificates in Child Safeguarding, or more intense Safeguarding Course certificates from Swim England and we have a qualified Designated Safeguarding Officer (DSO).
Each term the children are tested on Swim England Learn to Swim awards for beginners and swimmers. The certificates and badges are awarded at the end of the term. The lessons are of 30 minutes duration and we take children from 3.5 years old up to 13 years. The pool is a beautiful light and airy 25 metre deck level pool with a constant temperature of 29 degrees. We try to make the atmosphere as friendly as possible for the children and their parents who can sit on the benches during the classes.

Our class times are Sunday’s classes are 6 classes of 30 minutes at
8.30, 9.00, 9.30, 10.00, 10.30 and 11.00am.
Monday classes are at 6.00 and 6.30pm and
Tuesday classes are at 6.00, 6.30 and 7.00pm
for 30 minutes each.
